Statewide P.E.M.s

Get Involved

tMaui's Precinct Election Meetings (P.E.M.s) on February 5th resulted in many delegates elected into the positions for each precinct. Now is the time to fill the rest of the seats. If you are interested in being a delegate, contact your district chair. (using the form on the contact page, here). It may be that seats in your precinct are still available.

The Next Meeting - D.E.M.s

Now the District Election Meetings  are on deck. The purpose of this meeting is to elect a district chair for each district. Save the Date March 3rd for District Election Meetings.

So what is the purpose of a P.E.M. and a D.E.M? The meetings are held at the precinct level to elect the delegates and the district chair of that district to elect a chair. Delegates are voting member of the Hawaii Republican Party. The delegates vote at the conventions for bylaw changes and party leadership at the county and state level.

Members of the party can vote for the delegates of their precinct and district chairs of their district, members can self-nominate. All must show up live to the zoom call in order to vote. (Members must be members at least 10 days before the P.E.M. in order to vote).

Although the delegates are the most numerous of seats in the on party structure, they too hold the most importance. Delegates are the voting members of the party. They vote on the party rules and the leadership - thus steering the party in the direction they choose, by majority, want it to go. The importance of these seats can not be underestimated.

The efforts of the delegates that have a well oiled, functioning party, directly effects in the efforts of getting more Republicans elected into state and federal offices.

We have had almost 70 years of single party rule that has been detrimental to our rights, our families and our way of life in Hawaii. Fresh ideas and out-of-the-box thinking are needed. We need more patriots in these positions to help turn the state red. With President Donald Trump at the  helm, we have a great opportunity to help him drain the swamp here in Hawaii.

We need you in the foxhole. Fight! Fight! Fight!
